Due to the global media's nonstop coverage of the Coronavirus pandemic, many have not heard about the numerous significant earthquakes that have already occurred this year and the many more that are being predicted to come. Because there have been so many earthquakes, this article will only cover those with a magnitude greater than 6.

Theses are only few of the significant earthquakes that have been reported globally for 2020. With all of these past occurrences and more reported to come, one must ask why is there so many earthquakes in 2020.
