If you haven't heard, people across the globe are threatening to cancel Netflix for choosing to air a French film that many are calling a "Pedoflix." The movie Cuties is about a group of 11 year old girls that decide to win a dance competition by twerking. On twitter, the hashtag NetflixPedofilia has been trending since the trailer of Cuties was released by Netflix. The trailer showed young girls moving their bodies in a manner that some are calling "seductive" or "inappropriate," while the young girls wear revealing clothes. The movie has yet to actually air, but already has over 500,000 dislikes on Netflix, over a million dislikes on the Youtube trailer and nearly 200,000 have already signed a petition to have the movie removed. Others are calling for the boycott and cancellation of Netflix. Many are claiming that the movie's goal is to incite and promote pedophilia, and argue that the movie, whether intentional or not, sexualizes young girls.
